Erin Mullins is returning for her second year as the women’s swimming and diving assistant coach at DePauw after competing as a four-year letterwinner in the BIG EAST at the University of Cincinnati.
While swimming at Cincinnati, Mullins was a key cog in the Bearcats sixth-place finish at the 2011 BIG EAST Championships, a team she captained. She also was named a BIG EAST scholar-athlete four times and a TopCat Scholar on three occasions.
Her involvement at Cincinnati went outside the pool as Mullins was a McMicken Dean’s List honoree for 12 separate quarters, a member of both the Lambda Pi Eta and the Phi Kappa Beta honor societies, a Cincinnatus Century Scholar and a recipient of the NCAA D1A FAR Academic Excellence award which requires a student to maintain above a 3.80 grade point average and have been awarded with at least two letters on the varsity level for nomination.
Mullins was also spent a season as a coach for Cincinnati’s master’s swim team where she was involved with creating four different training programs for varying ability levels and is still currently involved with the Indian Hill Swim Club as in assistant coach in Cincinnati, Ohio.
A 2011 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Mullins majored in communication and organizational leadership and is currently working towards her master’s degree in sports management from Indiana State University.
