Baker Named SCAC Swimmer of the Week

Baker_Catie_200809wsw.jpgNovember 5, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. -DePauw freshman Catie Baker has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for performances from October 27 through November 2.

Baker won the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke against Centre and Washington & Lee with a 1:07.87 and a 2:26.56, respectively. The 200 breast time was under the NCAA "B" standard.

On Sunday against Washington-St. Louis, she was a triple event winner in the 100 & 200 breast and 200 individual medley with 1:09.27, 2:30.87 and 2:13.21 respectively.

DePauw hosts Wittenberg on November 8 at 3 p.m.
