Stier Earns SCAC Swimmer of the Week Honors

Stier_Amanda_200809wsw.jpgNovember 26, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw senior Amanda Stier earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week honors for her performances in DePauw's dual meet with Wheaton and the Wabash Invitational.

At the Wabash Invitational, she won three individual events as she broke her own pool record in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:10.91 and also took firsts in the 50 freestyle in 25.22 seconds and the 100 fly in 59.93 seconds. She was also part of the 200 medley relay which won in 1:51.54.

She was a double-winner in Friday's win over Wheaton as she finished first in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:57.69 and the 500 free in 5:22.59. Stier's 200 free time tied the school record held by Katie Doogan. She also was part of the 200 free relay which won in 1:40.05.
