17th-ranked DePauw opens spring season with loss at 12th-ranked Washington

DePauw, ranked 17th in Division III, opened the spring portion of its season with an 8-1 loss at Washington (Mo.) University. DePauw, 1-1 for the year, returns to action on Monday, March 1, at Hope College.
