Fifth-ranked DePauw Finishes Second at Midwest Invitational

April 5, 2008, Madison, Wis. - The fifth-ranked Tigers defeated 24th-ranked Washington University, 5-3, in the Midwest Invitational semifinals but dropped a 5-3 decision to sixth-ranked Denison in the championship match.
The top-seeded Tigers won all three doubles matches against Washington and advanced to the finals with wins at firs, second and fifth singles.
In the title match Denison won two of the three doubles matches and took straight set victories at second, third and fifth singles to claim the win.
The Tigers are 14-3 with the split and travel to Rose-Hulman on Tuesday.
