Tigers Drop Opening Match at ITA Indoor Championship

February 27, 2009, St. Peter, Minn. —  The 12th-ranked Tigers dropped to 2-2 on the season following a 7-2 loss to fifth-ranked Emory in the first round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III National Team Indoor Championship.

DePauw moves to the consolation bracket where they'll face 18th-ranked and host Gustavus Adolphus at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The Tigers jumped out to a 2-1 lead after winning at third and first doubles, but the Eagles swept the six singles matches for the win.
