10th-ranked Tigers Finish Fifth at ITA Championship

Greencastle, Ind. - The 10th-ranked DePauw women improved to 5-1 on the season after finishing fifth at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor Division III Team Championship hosted by DePauw.

The Tigers entered the tournament seeded fourth and opened against fifth-seeded and 11th-ranked Johns Hopkins and suffered a 6-3 loss. The Blue Jays went on to win the team title.

DePauw came back on Saturday to post a pair of 8-1 wins in the backdraw as it opened with a victory against 17th-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater and then topped third-seeded and seventh-ranked Washington and Lee.

The Tigers return to action on Friday, March 8, when they host Oberlin at 4:30 p.m.
