Hamer named SCAC Volleyball Co-Player of the Week

05vbhamer.jpgSeptember 27, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Sophomore Kim Hamer along with Trinity's Kamri Young have been named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Co-Players-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 19 through Sunday, September 25.

Hamer led the Tigers to a 4-0 mark at the first SCAC Eastern Divisional at Centre - all 3-0 sweeps for DePauw.

Including one non-conference match earlier in the week, Hamer had 49 kills in 15 games (3.27 per game) and had just 10 errors on 89 total attacks to hit .438 on the week. Hamer also had 28 blocks (five solo, 23 assisted) to average 1.87 per game.

DePauw, 14-4 overall, travels to Rose-Hulman on Saturday where they will play Kenyon and Capital.
