Pair of Tigers Earn All-SCAC Honors

cobb_adrienne_2008vb.jpgNovember 19, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. -DePauw seniors Adrienne Cobb and Emily Smith have earned all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors in voting by the conference's 12 head coaches. The complete team is available here.

Cobb (pictured left), a middle hitter, was a first team all-SCAC selection and finished third in the Player of the Year voting. A third team selection last year and an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District selection, Cobb finished with one first-place vote and 163 total points.

She led the team with 2.64 kills per set, a .269 attack percentage and 1.3 blocks per set. Her blocks ranked 14th in Division III at the conclusion of the regular season.

smith_emily_2008vb.jpgSmith (pictured right) earned second team honors as a libero after pacing DePauw with 5.83 digs per set which ranked 23rd in the nation through the regular season. She also was second on the squad with 34 service aces.

DePauw finished the 2008 campaign with a 25-14 overall record and the Tigers placed second at the SCAC Championship.
