Persian Visions: Contemporary Photography from Iran

 In the first survey of contemporary Iranian photography to travel to the United States, Persian Visions features 20 artists who use the camera as a tool for cultural expression and self-exploration. Organized by the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art and the University of Minnesota Department of Art, this exhibition of 58 works introduces some of Iran's most celebrated photographers to American audiences.

Persian Visions was developed by Hamid Severi for the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Iran, and Gary Hallman of the Regis Center for Art, University of Minnesota and is toured by International Arts & Artists, Washington, D.C.  

 

This exhibition was made possible in part by the ILEX Foundation, University of Minnesota McKnight Arts and Humanities Endowment, and the Department of Art, Regis Center for Art, University of Minnesota.

Persian Visions: Contemporary Photography from Iran

 In the first survey of contemporary Iranian photography to travel to the United States, Persian Visions features 20 artists who use the camera as a tool for cultural expression and self-exploration. Organized by the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art and the University of MinnesotaDepartment of Art, this exhibition of 58 wokrs introduces some of Iran's most celebrated photographers to American audiences

Persian Visions was developed by Hamid Severi for the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Iran, and Gary Hallman of the Regis Center for Art, University of Minnesota and is toured by International Arts & Artists, Washington, D.C.  

 

This exhibition was made possible in part by the ILEX Foundation, University of Minnesota McKnight Arts and Humanities Endowment, and the Department of Art, Regis Center for Art, University of Minnesota.

DePauw Students are invited to submit photographs with titles and captions explaining how their work communicates about and promotes reflection on local or global ethical issues. Winners will receive $25 visa gift cards and their framed photographs.**All entries must be submitted online by the extended deadline of Feb 23**Winners will be selected by online campus vote. Top entries will receive framed copies of their winning photo and a $25 Visa gift card, and will also have their work publicly displayed at the Prindle.
