Persian Visions: Contemporary Photography from Iran

 In the first survey of contemporary Iranian photography to travel to the United States, Persian Visions features 20 artists who use the camera as a tool for cultural expression and self-exploration. Organized by the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art and the University of Minnesota Department of Art, this exhibition of 58 works introduces some of Iran's most celebrated photographers to American audiences.

Persian Visions was developed by Hamid Severi for the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Iran, and Gary Hallman of the Regis Center for Art, University of Minnesota and is toured by International Arts & Artists, Washington, D.C.  

 

This exhibition was made possible in part by the ILEX Foundation, University of Minnesota McKnight Arts and Humanities Endowment, and the Department of Art, Regis Center for Art, University of Minnesota.

Have you thought about teaching?  Do you want to make a powerful impact in the lives of kids?  If you answered Yes to any of these questions then you may want to consider the M.A.T. program at Earlham College.  Stephen Clark (Depauw '10), Allison Rock (Depauw '10), Kyle Foster (Depauw '10) are alumni of the M.A.T. program, and Kristen McMahon (Depauw '10) is currently enrolled in the program.  The M.A.T. allows students, who did not complete a teacher education program, to attend an eleven-month course of graduate study beginning in June and concluding the following May. More precisely, students will earn teacher certification in May, and then after completing one class during their first semester as a teacher, they will earn their Master of Arts in Teaching degree.

Have you thought about teaching?  Do you want to make a powerful impact in the lives of kids?  If you answered Yes to any of these questions then you may want to consider the M.A.T. program at Earlham College.  Stephen Clark (Depauw '10), Allison Rock (Depauw '10), Kyle Foster (Depauw '10) are alumni of the M.A.T. program, and Kristen McMahon (Depauw '10) is currently enrolled in the program.  The M.A.T. allows students, who did not complete a teacher education program, to attend an eleven-month course of graduate study beginning in June and concluding the following May. More precisely, students will earn teacher certification in May, and then after completing one class during their first semester as a teacher, they will earn their Master of Arts in Teaching degree.

Persian Visions: Contemporary Photography from Iran

 In the first survey of contemporary Iranian photography to travel to the United States, Persian Visions features 20 artists who use the camera as a tool for cultural expression and self-exploration. Organized by the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art and the University of MinnesotaDepartment of Art, this exhibition of 58 wokrs introduces some of Iran's most celebrated photographers to American audiences

Persian Visions was developed by Hamid Severi for the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Iran, and Gary Hallman of the Regis Center for Art, University of Minnesota and is toured by International Arts & Artists, Washington, D.C.  

 

This exhibition was made possible in part by the ILEX Foundation, University of Minnesota McKnight Arts and Humanities Endowment, and the Department of Art, Regis Center for Art, University of Minnesota.
