If it is not TOO uncommon for someone to be born intersex, how come we do not know more about these individuals? Gender assignment surgery at birth (doctors surgically changing genitalia to fit into a specific gender: male or female) is a controversial topic regarding individuals born with ambiguous or mixed genetalia (intersex). Other biomedical and social issues concerning intersex identity will be presented and discussed by Dr. Malatino. presented by LGBT Services. Free & open to the public.
