Training for faculty and staff users of the Student Success Collaborative (SSC) Advising platform.
In preparation for Advising Week, this training will focus specifically on the following:Appointment Campaigns
Appointment Campaigns allow faculty advisors to request students to schedule an advising time. By doing this in the platform, it creates a record for advisors to input advising recommendations.
Attendees who are new to the platform are encouraged to attend. As time permits, other aspects of the platform (i.e., Advisor Role, Professor Role, Submitting Alerts) will be covered.

Mindfulness and Meditation

The mindfulness/meditation workshop is designated for all students who want to learn and practice this ancient method of focus and relaxation. Meditation has been shown to increase psychological flexibility, nurture the brain, improve concentration, improve the immune system, reduce stress and increase mental clarity, promote insight and increase appreciation for multiple life domains. Boot Camp combines intervals of cardio, strength, and core/abdominal exercises to provide you with the ultimate full body workout. We will incorporate light free weights & body weight exercises. Workouts are usually never the same in order to avoid fitness platueas and boredom. Boot camp is a high intensity workout, but modifications are provided so that this class is appropriate for all fitness levels. #Wellness
