Public Service, International Studies & Research Fellowship Information Session

Includes information about several post-graduate opportunities in the areas of public service, foreign service and internatioanl studies. Fellowships include the Pickering, Truman and Gaither/Carnegie Fellows programs. Some awards require US citizenship, while others do not. Juniors and Seniors should attend, but all class years are welcome and encouraged to attend to help learn how to craft a multi-year plan to be increase chances of success. Lisa Frazier Page: "Giving Them A Voice: Lessons From Three Urban Doctors, A Civil Rights Hero, and School Choice Activist"

Free and open to the public. Lisa Frazier Page is a former Washington Post reporter, and the author of six books. Her most recent book is "Living and Dying in Brick City: Stories From the Front Lines of an Inner-City E.R." She has also written about the civil rights movement. One of her stories for The Post helped inspire Margot Shetterly's "Hidden Figures," which was made into a popular film of the same title. Frazier currently works as the spokesperson for Baton Rouge area District Attorney Warren Montgomery.
