Requirements for a major in Music (CLA):

Total courses required:

Ten

Core courses:

MUS 111, MUS 112, MUS 130, MUS 211, MUS 230, MUS 334, MUS 450 Additional upper-level music history elective (usually MUS 390) Two course credits in applied music Four semesters of participation in a major ensemble

Other required courses:

Recital attendance each semester in residence as a declared major

# 300 and 400 level courses:

Three

Senior requirement:

Satisfactory completion of MUS 450.
