What is the Senior Gift Drive?

* The Senior Gift Drive is a fundraising effort by the senior class to make a lasting impression at DePauw and to show support for the university.

What is the "Honor Your Parents" program?

* All donations of $1 or more (made by a SENIOR) to the Senior Gift Drive are automatically recognized as gifts in honor of their parents. Once the donation is made, the Annual Fund Office sends a letter and sticky D to the parents of the donating senior notifying them that a gift has been made in their honor. Parents of senior donors are encouraged to wear their sticky D at graduation and are also invited to attend
the Senior Reception May 18th, 2007.
 
**Should parents wish to make a donation to the Annual Fund they may do so through the DePauw Parents Fund.

Where does the money raised by the Senior Gift Drive go?

* All of the money raised by the Senior Gift Drive is added to the overall efforts of the Annual Fund.

What is the Annual Fund?

* An institution's Annual Fund is viewed as a measure of strength and support. A strong program reflects positively upon the school and the alumni--for instance the U.S. News & World Report equates a university's Annual Fund participation with alumni satisfaction.
* DePauw's Annual Fund is the yearly account which helps to operate DePauw. Money donated to the Annual Fund is applied directly to DePauw's operating budget supporting student scholarships, off campus study, winter term, faculty salaries and so much more!

Can seniors earmark which program they would like their money to support?

YES! Seniors may designate their donation to the following target areas:

* Student Scholarships
* Faculty Support
* Technology and Library Support
* Winter Term and Off-Campus Study
* Katula Fund for Athletics
* Diversity Initiatives
* Creative and Performing Arts
* Unrestricted Support

Why should I participate?

* The Senior Gift Drive is an opportunity to examine your DePauw experience...someone's past Annual Fund donation most likely influenced your time at DePauw, so this is now YOUR chance to return the favor!
* The DePauw experience is not just 4 years, it lasts a lifetime! A donation to the Senior Gift Drive helps begin the transition from student to alumni status...hopefully sparking the commitment to further involvement.
* Giving back to DePauw not only enhances DePauw's national reputation, but it also increases the value of a DePauw diploma to future employers.

How do I become involved?

* All seniors will be contacted by a living unit representative but they are more than welcome to donate online (see link at left).
* There is NO MINIMUM gift level as all gifts are welcomed and appreciated!
