The Named Scholar Program

Washington C. DePauw Society members who make an Annual Fund gift of $5,000 or more qualify to participate in our named scholar program, through which a portion of a current student's scholarship will bear the name of the donor or that of a designated honoree. During Old Gold Weekend, named scholar benefactors are invited to meet with the student scholarship recipients who benefit from their support.

Scholarship support is a vital investment for the University in order to make today's DePauw experience accessible to diverse and talented students of high academic promise. About half of DePauw students receive need-based financial aid while and additional 40% qualify for merit scholarships. Incoming class of 2009 students’ high school credentials included a median 3.71 grade point average and 91% class rank.
