The Reports List Menu page is a convenient and standard interface to the e-Services Report Engine. This page includes:
- Keyword search function to quickly view specific reports.
- List of reports that the user has created or has security access to view.
- Navigational links to other areas within the Reports Engine structure.
- A New Reports List with Folders that organizes the reports within folders.
The Reports Home page is navigated to from multiple links on the e-Services Home page. Most main department divisions will have a Report link that navigates to the Reports Home page.
The Keyword search function provides for a quick way to view a specific report or reduce the number of reports displayed on the Report Menu. The Keyword search is found on the upper left hand side of the page under Search By.
- Keyword. Enter, in the field, a keyword that will distinguish the reports you desire to view. The Keyword search function searches within the Reports' Name and Description fields.
- Using Wild Cards. Wild cards are not necessary when searching keywords. For instance if you enter "Pay" in the keyword field, the filter will find the events with the three letters "Pay" in the title or description. (example: Pay, Payment, Payroll). Entering "roll" in the Keyword field will render words with "roll" (example: Payroll).
Note: The search is case sensitive. If the entry was "pay", it would only show those report titles and descriptions with "pay" all in lower case. In most cases the Reports Names are capitalized.
- Filter. Click on the Filter button or press the Enter key to begin the Keyword search. The results of the search will be displayed to the right of the page on the Report Menu.
The New! Reports List with Folders link, located on the left hand side of the page navigates to a new Reports List page. This new page will display the same links that the Reports List Menu page. The Cluster and Snippet links will be across the top of the page. The Keyword Search is located at the middle of the top section of the page. The Add Report and various View links are located exactly like the legacy Reports List menu.
Folders. The listing of the reports under folders is the main difference of the New Reports List with Folders Menu page and the legacy Reports List Menu page. The author of the report will select what folder the report should be listed under.
Suggestion: Clicking on the folder will either expand or collapse the folder.
