The SysReg Main Menu page is divided into 3 sections.
- System Registry Keys. This section is located in the left column upper section of the page. This houses the Key Tree and also allows for adding a Key.
- Miscellaneous Links. This section is located in the left column lower section of the page. This houses the Help, System Registry Search, and Back to e-Services home links.
- Name/Value Pair display area. This section is the main area of the page and displays the ID, Name, Type, Value and Expire Date for the selected Key.
The SysReg home page is navigated to from the e-Services home page. The System Registry link is located under the following headings on the left column of the page:
- Academic Services
- Accounting Menu
- Admissions
- Office of Institutional Research
- Registrar's Office
- Residence Life and Housing
- Technical e-Services
The SysReg consists of Keys that group Name/Value Pairs. The Key Tree organizes the Keys so that they can be easily navigated. The Keys correspond to business and system structures. The tree can be expanded to show the various Keys for each department. Keys are secured by departments and only authorized users in each department are allowed to view them. Selecting a Key will display its Name/Value Pair.

- Academic Affairs
- Admission
- Development and Alumni
- Finance
- Registrar's Office
- Student Services
- System Values
- e-Services Engines
- System Registry Keys (Add Key). This link will open the System Registry Key form. This form is used to add new Keys.

Attention: Adding Keys should only be accomplished by Developers.
The miscellaneous links provides navigation to the following:
- Help. Clicking on this link will open the System Registry Help page.
- System Registry Search. Clicking on this link will display the Search the System Registry. It allows you to search the Key names, Value names and the Values by the Key word entered.
- Enter a Keyword. Enter the Keyword or words for the search.
Suggestion: The search is not case sensitive. Also the search will look for all instances with the combinations of the letters of the Keyword. For example: entering the word 'help' will find all instances of 'help' and 'helpful'.
- Registry Key List. The result of the search will first display all of the instances found in the Registry Key List. The hierarchy is displayed from the Department Key to the actual Key that has the Keyword. Next to each Key name is the Key ID. Clicking on this Key ID will open the selected Key.
- Name/Value List. Under the Registry Key List of instances is the list of the instances found in the Name/Value List. The hierarchy is displayed from the Department Key to the actual Name or Value. Next to each Key and Value name is the record ID. Clicking on this record ID will open the selected Key or Value Name.
Note: The instance within a Value will be displayed with its record ID in parentheses. These record IDs are not linked. Click on the record ID of the Value Name to view the value. All values will be viewed for the Key.
- Back to e-Services Home. Clicking on this link will return you to the e-Services Home page.
This area displays the information for the selected Key and also provides links to accomplish various functions. The top of the section will display the name of the Key that has been selected from the Key Tree. The following are displayed in columns from left to right:
- ID. This is the record ID for the Name/Value Pair.
- Name. This is the descriptive name of the Name/Value Pair. Clicking on this name will open the Name/Value Pair form. This form will allow editing of the value but not the name.

- Type. This displays the type of Key, User or System.
- Value. This displays the value of the Name/Value Pair.
- Expires. This displays the date that the Name/Value Pair will expire. Once expired the pair will no longer be used.
There are several links in this area:
- Hide Expired. Clicking on this link will hide all of the Name/Value Pairs that have expired. This is useful to view only those pairs that are active.
- Show All. This link will show if the Hide Expired link was clicked. Clicking on the Show All link will display all active and expired pairs.
- Add Value. Clicking on this link will open a new Name/Value Pair form. This is used to create a Name/Value Pair for the selected Key.
