DePauw e-Services 2.0 Privacy, Terms and Conditions Statement Privacy Overview: DePauw University is committed to respecting the privacy of e-Services users, faculty, staff, and students as well as to provide a secure online experience. By using DePauw e-Services 2.0, you consent to the policies and terms described in this document. Registration: You are responsible to maintain the privacy of your PIN number. You are also responsible for all uses of your registration. You agree to immediately notify DePauw University helpdesk@depauw.edu of any unauthorized use of your registration. DePauw e-Services 2.0 is for the use of DePauw authorized persons only including all faculty, staff, and students. e-Services Content / Institutional Data: DePauw e-Services 2.0 . . . As a user, you are responsible for your communication and any responses that result. By using DePauw e-Services 2.0, you agree not to engage in the following types of activity: posting material for which you do not hold the copyright or copyright permission (such as text or photos); posting advertisements or solicitations or chain letters or pyramid schemes; posting material that abuses the privacy of others; posting material that is obscene, sexually explicit, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, or hateful; posting viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs or other computer programming intended to be used for the detriment of any system; impersonating another user. Technical Information: DePauw e-Services 2.0 uses “cookies” to filter University information automatically and deliver to your Web Browser only that information that is relevant to you or that you are authorized to view. Note that if you have disabled cookies in your web browser, you will be unable to log in or use DePauw e-Services 2.0. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a Web server. Cookies are not used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to your computer and can only be read by a Web server (in the domain) that issued the cookie to you. Any information gathered in web server logs, transaction logs, or databases is used for the purpose of improving the DePauw e-Services 2.0 experience. The information is not shared with any third party, vendor, or other persons unrelated to DePauw University. Indemnity: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company, its officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any claims, actions or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from your use of the Material or your breach of the terms of these Terms and Conditions.
