Pre-Professional Programs

As a liberal arts college, DePauw prepares students for professional degrees, usually at the masters or doctoral level. Many DePauw graduates go on to study medicine and the health sciences, law, business, government, education, social work… the list really is endless. DePauw offers a post-baccalaureate Fifth Year for Teaching (FYT) program for licensing to teach in the public schools. The pre-engineering program has cooperative arrangements with several engineering schools. The pre-law and health science programs are advisory; they assist students with curricular planning and assembling the credentials needed for acceptance into a program.
