International Students

Dear Class of 2014,

Congratulations on your admittance to DePauw University. The staff members at the Center for International & Experiential Education (CIEE)* are excited to welcome you to the DePauw community! We firmly believe that international education is vitally important to fostering goodwill and building beneficial relationships with countries across the globe. You are one of more than 180 students from outside of the United States in our international community and we are counting on you to help increase cultural awareness of international issues and expand our view of the world. In turn, we will provide you the support that you need to excel academically and adjust socially to the university environment and to life in the United States.

The CIEE staff members will work with you to prepare for your journey to the U.S., to acclimate to campus during the International Student Orientation, to complete your degree, and to excel beyond your time at DePauw. DePauw University has a strong academic curriculum, opportunities to work closely with faculty and staff members, and a safe and welcoming friendly environment.

As you prepare for your arrival to DePauw, please familiarize yourself with the information on the “First-Year” tab of this site. As an international student, also familiarize yourself with the information on the International Students & Scholars site. There you will find information about the following:
