Senior Adviser to President
S. Page Cotton ’71 MAT came to DePauw in the fall of 1969 after graduating from Springfield College and, at just 22 years of age, took over a three-year-old program and started a 39-year head coaching career. Page’s DePauw teams compiled a 390-199-33 record, and he finished ranked ninth in victories among active NCAA Division III coaches. In 1996, Page embarked on a 15-year career as director of athletics and recreational sports.
During his tenure, DePauw hosted nearly 30 NCAA Division III Championship events, including three national championships. Page also guided the athletics department through two conference moves and oversaw four major facility projects, including the construction of the indoor tennis and track center. Upon retiring as director of athletics in 2012, he took on a new role as senior adviser to DePauw's president.
