Erica Martin - CSPAN
Fall, 2008

Washington, DC Erica Martin, a junior Media Fellow and Communications major, spent the fall of 2008 in Washington DC working as an intern at C-SPAN. As a part of the Education Relations department, a small division of C-SPAN's marketing group, Erica got the opportunity to take part in the C-SPAN Campaign 2008 Bus's "Campaign for the Commonwealth" tour. Traveling through Virginia, the C-SPAN bus stopped at select high schools to host presidential platform debates and to talk with students about the 2008 campaign.

"It was so fun to get to see what the C-SPAN Campaign bus does out on the road and how they are working to inform students about C-SPAN programming," says Erica. "I was so impressed by the involvement of the students; they are excited about this election, knowledgable about the canidates, and anxious to get involved."
