Meredith Siemens - Channel 9, Sydney

Spending a semester in Australia was probably the most beneficial experience of my college career, and certainly the most beautiful. I worked on "Mornings with Kerri-Anne", a top-rated morning show on Australia's number one network, Channel 9.

I spent my time organizing shows and guests ranging from a fourteen ferret pet segment, to Australian Idol stars. By the end of my stay, I was able to produce all aspects of my segments; creating the concept, booking guests, writing questions, and handling any emergencies during live taping. It was amazing to put so much work into a segment and then be able to watch it the next day knowing all that had gone into it.

The show was a great way to understand Australian culture and offered me a level of experience and responsibility I would not have gotten as an intern in the States!
