How to use old HP Scanners

The easiest program to use is Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Steps to scan:

1. On the toolbar at the top, click “create PDF”

2. From there, a drop down menu will appear.  Select “From Scanner”.
1. The scanner is the HP PrecisionScan Pro 3.0
2. Make sure your image is inside the scanner at this point, with what you wish to scan facing down on the glass.
3. It will take a moment to warm the lamp and prepare the scanner.
3. There is a guided steps menu on the left-hand side of the screen

4. Select the output type you prefer (color, black and white, or grayscale) from the drop down menu of Guided Step #2.
5. Click “Return to” button to begin scan.
6. A window will pop up prompting the selection area.
1. Select “ok”
7. Use cursor to select the area you wish to scan.
8. Click “Return to” button.
9. Select “ok” to fix resolution and scan when window pops up.
10. Select “Done” when finished scanning, and “Save as” under the “File” menu to save your scan.
