Nikon Super Coolscan 4000: Key Features of the Film Scanner

The scanner is connected to the computer by a FireWire cable.  The maximum resolution is 4000 dpi, which gives a maximum image size of 3,654 x 5,646 pixels when scanning with 35mm film (this amount of pixels is very large).  The scanner is able to scan both 35mm slides and film strips and uses 3 color LEDs to illuminate the film.
