Filling a selection using the Paint bucket
Select the object you wish to fill. (Make sure it is a closed object. If it has any holes in the sides the paint will leak out.)
- Select the Paint bucket tool from the Tool bar.
Options for this tool will appear in the Properties inspector (Fireworks) or as a part of the Gradient Tool in the Menu bar (Photoshop). - Move the paint bucket so the tip of the paint is within the area you wish to fill.
- When you click, the object will be filled with the color that is currently selected as the foreground color.
*To change the color, select the foreground icon, and a color pallet will appear.
