How to Crop, Resize and Combine an Image in Adobe Fireworks CS3

  1. Click Start, then All Programs. In the Macromedia Folder select Adobe Fireworks CS3.
  1. Select File, then Open to open the image you want to edit,

CROPPING

  1. Select the crop tool  from the toolbar.
  1. Click and drag the crop tool to select the portion of the image you want to keep

  1. If the area you wish to crop is correct, double click on the inside of the dotted crop line in order to complete the cropping process.

RESIZING

  1. Open the image that you wish to resize.
  1. Click Modify then Canvas.  Under Canvas click Image Size.

  1. A screen like the one below should appear.

  1. Fill in the desired measurements for your image in the pixel dimension box.

COMBINING IMAGES

  1. Open one of the images you wish to combine.
  1. Click on Modify, then Canvas.  Under Canvas, select Canvas Size.
  1.   Adjust the measurements so that your canvas is large enough to fit all of the images you wish to combine.
  1. Open the images you wish to combine.
  1. Make sure that the images are at the same magnification.  You can change magnification by using the pull down list in the lower right hand corner of the canvas window.
  1. Click and drag each image onto the canvas of the first image.  Drag the images around until you reach the desired placement.
  1.   Adjust the canvas size again if needed.
