Contribute CS3
To connect to a website:
1. Create a connection to the web server that hosts your website.
2. Go through the steps of the “Create Connection” pop up box.

When you connect, Contribute displays the website’s home page in the browser.
To edit a web page:
1. In the toolbar, click the EDIT PAGE button.
(Contribute opens the page in the editor, and then a draft icon appears in the Pages panel)

2. To publish your changes, click on the PUBLISH button in the toolbar.

3. Contribute lets you know that the changes were successfully published to your website.

4. Click the OK button to close the confirmation message.
5. The updated page now appears in your browser. Visitors to your website can see the updated page.
To add an image:
There are three ways to add an image to your webpage:
1. Use the IMAGE button in the toolbar.

You can add images from your computer, website, Internet or shared assets.
2. Drag images from your desktop, web browser, or an application to your Contribute draft.
3. Copy and paste images from your desktop, web browser, or an application to your Contribute draft.
To insert a table:
1. In your draft, place the insertion point where you want the table to appear.
2. Click the TABLE button.

3. The Insert Table dialog box appears at this time.

4. Type the number of rows and columns you want.
5. Change the other table properties, if you want.
6. Click a button in the HEADER section to indicate the header type you want (or select None).
7. Click OK.
(The table then appears in your draft.)
To create a link:
The title of a web page appears in the browser title bar when a website visitor views the page; it does not appear on the page itself.
1. In your draft, place the insertion point where you want the link to appear, or select a text or image.
2. Click the LINK button and select DRAFTS AND RECENT PAGES.

3. The Insert Link box will then appear.

4. Type the link text in the LINK TEXT text box.
(This text box is not available if you selected text or an image in the draft.)
5. Select a web page from the list of drafts and recently published pages.
6. Click OK.
To change a page title:
1. In your draft, select FORMAT à PAGE PROPERTIES
2. The Page Properties dialog box appears.
3. In the TITLE text box, change the page title.
4. Click OK.
5. The title changes in the Pages panel.
To set a background color:
1. Select FORMAT à PAGE PROPERTIES
2. The Page Properties dialog box appears.

3. Select Appearance in the category list on the left.
4. Click the Background color box, and then select a color.
5. Click OK.
