Merging or changing layer order

Merging layers

1. Select the layers you wish to merge or flatten by clicking on them. To select more than one layer, click in the box between the layer description and the eye. A lock or a chain link will appear linking the layer to the already selected one.
2. Merge images by:
1. Fireworks:

• In the menu bar choose Modify.
• Choose Flatten Layers.

1. Photoshop:

• In the menu bar choose Layers.
• Choose Merge Linked.

 

Changing layer order

1. Click and hold the mouse button on the layer you wish to move.
2. Drag that layer to the desired place. A thin orange line will appear between the layers, indicating where the selected layer will be placed.
