Guided Path

  1. Draw a circle on the stage
  2. Choose edit…select all
  3. Right click on the circle and select “convert to symbol…”

       

  1. Name the shape
  2. Click on the “Graphic” radio button and click OK
  3. Select frame 40
  4. Choose Insert…Timeline…Keyframe
  5. Right on the timeline anywhere between frames 1 through 40 and choose  “Create Motion Tween”
  6. Click on “Add Motion Guide” from the Timeline menu.

        

  1. Select the Pencil tool and set the Pencil mode to Smooth using the Options section of the left toolbox
  2. Draw your guide
  3. Select “Frame 1” in the Timeline.  Click on the Arrow tool.
  4. Move the circle to the line starting point.  It should snap into place
  5. Select “Frame 40” in the Timeline. 
  6. Move the circle to the line ending point.
  7. Click on the first dot after “Guide: Layer 1”  to hide the object path
