Cropping Video Clips

1. Selecting the clip you would like to crop:

• Select the clip in the movie timeline by clicking on it once.

2. Cropping the clip:

If you want to crop out one or both ends of the clip do one of the following:

• Drag the left crop marker (left triangle) to where you would like the clip to begin and the right crop marker (right triangle) to where you would like the clip to end (see below.) The blue parts of the clip outside the crop markers will be deleted. -or-
• To move a crop marker one frame at a time, click the marker and press the Left or Right Arrow key. To move the marker in 10- frame increments, hold down the Shift key while pressing the arrow key.

  Then go to the Edit menu, choose Crop.

If you would like to crop out the middle of the clip –

• Drag the left and right crop markers to encompass the portion you would like to crop out.

  Then go to the Edit menu, Cut.
