Adding Transitions

1. Click Transitions from the Editing palette.

2. Choose the transition you would like to use.

• Select a transition style from the list. The transition will preview for you in the black box above the list.

3. Edit the transition.

• Use the Speed slider to set the duration of the transition.
• Use the direction buttons to set the direction from which you want the transition to start (if applicable.)

4. Insert transition into your movie.

• Click and drag the transition style you have chosen from the list to your desired location in the movie timeline at the bottom of the screen (see below.) You may place it at the beginning or end of your movie or in between two clips.
• iMovie will then take a couple of seconds to render the transition (insert it into your movie.)
