Inspiration 6
Getting Started
To create a new diagram choose File > New from the menu bar.
After making a new diagram, notice that on the new document there is a circle in the middle which says “main idea.”

Any time you see a new idea symbol simply double click on the symbol and type in your idea. You can move and alter the size of the symbol by clicking and dragging the corners.
Manipulating and
arranging idea symbols
On top of the document you will see a tool bar.

The tool bar makes the whole process of adding and arranging idea symbols as simple as possible.
To add a new symbol off of your main idea click on the create button. Within the create button, click on the arrow that corresponds to the position you wish the new symbol to be created. For example, to create a new symbol directly below the main idea symbol click on the arrow pointing down on the create button.
Keep in mind that there are two create buttons. If one button does not have the positioning that you desire simply go to the other button. Between the two create buttons a new symbol can be positioned in 8 different directions.
Using the position button
As discussed earlier, any symbol can be moved by simply clicking and dragging the symbol. The position button is different than clicking and dragging because instead changing the position of individual symbols it changed the position of the whole symbol diagram. Once again, click and drag with the position button clicked and every symbol on the document will move.
Arranging symbols
To change the arrangement of all the symbols on the document click on the arrange button. After clicking the button a new screen will appear which will show different arrangement options. Click on the arrangement you deem appropriate and click ok.
