Create a playlist
Windows Media Player:
To create a new playlist in Windows Media Player, choose File → New Now Playing List from the menu bar. In the List pane, click Now Playing List → New List → Playlist. Create your playlist in the List pane by dragging items from the Contents or Details pane in your library. When you have finished creating your playlist, click New Playlist → Save Playlist As in the List pane. Name your new playlist and click Save. The playlist is added to the My Playlists category in the Contents pane.

RealPlayer
To create a new playlist in RealPlayer, choose View → My Library from the menu bar. In the Tasks area of the sidebar, click New Playlist. A box will appear. Name your new playlist and click OK. The Add Clips? dialog box will appear. Click Yes to add clips to your playlist (you may click no and your empty playlist will appear in the playlist folder and you will be able to add clips later). Search through the available media clips and select the clips you wish to add. Select multiple clips by holding Ctrl while clicking. Click Add Clips to Playlist and the dialog box will close. The new playlist will appear in the playlist folder.
