Mozilla Firefox and RSS feeds

Two of the biggest advantages to Firefox are the tabs feature and the RSS feature.  Tabs make browsing a whole lot easier and RSS keeps you constantly updated.

Using Tabs

To open another webpage simply push ctrl + t to click on the button next to the tab to create a new tab.  Tabs are a great tool for opening up more than one webpage on the same webpage.  The advantage to this is that you don’t have to open up multiple web browsers.  Continue to add as many tabs as you need.  The image below shows what two different tabs look like.

RSS Feeds

RSS feeds are a relatively new feature that is very simple to use in Firefox.  RSS feeds are essentially little headlines that are automatically updated.

To subscribe to an RSS feed simply click on the orange RSS feed button

A new window will pop up and ask where you wish to add the RSS feed.

Click okay and a little icon with the name of the website will show up on the tool bar (see above).  Clicking the RSS button will open up a little window that gives all the updates for that website.
