Social Software in Teaching
FITS provides consulting and training support for faculty wishing to leverage social software for teaching and learning.
Uses and Pedagogical Examples
Social software provides opportunities for collaboration and interaction between an instructor and students as well as between students within and beyond the classroom. Please check the Recommended Technologies page, designed for absence preparedness, which provides some general best practices for social software with a given activity in mind.
Faculty and staff can contact FITS at firstname.lastname@example.org and students can contact Student Technology Support at email@example.com for assistance in learning and using social software. FITS can also assist with finding the best social software for a given task or goal. Instructions and other materials on how to use social software for teaching and learning can be accessed in the IT KnowledgeBase. Please check our FITS events calendar for upcoming workshops.
