OFF-CYCLE BUDGET REQUEST FORM

ACADEMIC HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

Please complete the form below to submit your Off-Cycle Academic Computing Hardware and Software Budget Requests. 

Academic and Administrative Departments are encouraged to submit requests for computer equipment and software as part of the annual budget cycle. However, in those instances where needs arise during the course of the year, Information Services has a small amount of discretionary money to fund off-cycle requests.

Please use the following form to make specific hardware and software requests. Discretionary funds are limited, so not all requests can be funded. Please provide as much justification as necessary to describe your need.

Decisions will be made based on available funds and according to the following budget-cycle priorities:

  1. Depth and breadth of direct impact on teaching and learning
  2. Degree of connection to scholarly and creative work
  3. Degree of connection to other University objectives
  4. Compatibility of the requested hardware or software with standard University hardware and software core images
  5. Demonstrated value of the software or hardware in relation to the above priorities and total costs

Off-cycle budget requests will be reviewed at least once a month, typically on the first Monday of the month. Decisions will be communicated to the requesting department as soon as the request is reviewed.
