Vista Client Instructions here...
This updated Novell client removes the need to include your context (student.depauw, staff.depauw or faculty.depauw) when logging into Novell. You will only need your username and password to log in.
1. Download the Novell Client install file (330KB) to your desktop. You should close all open applications, as installing the client will require rebooting your system. Double-click the icon. Click Run.

2. Make sure the button marked "Typical Installation" is selected and click Install.

3.When prompted reboot your computer. Type your username and password and click OK to log into Novell.

1. Download the Novell Client (20MB) to your Desktop and unzip it

2. Click on Novell Client SP1 for Windows Vista folder to view contents.

3. Choose setup
and click continue in the User Account Control Screen.
4. Choose Language and accept the License Agreement
5. Choose the Express Installation →Install →. Click continue in the User Account Control Screen

6. The Novell Client is being installed. Please reboot your computer when it is finished.

7. Your computer will reboot and show a Novell prompt. Please choose the 2nd option. Computer only Logon Your screen will change to Log on to this Computer.
8. Type in your computer account name (typically DePauw) and password to boot into Windows.
9. Click on the red N located on the right side of your
System Tray
and select the Novell Client Properties option.
10. Give permission to continue in the user Account Control Screen.
11. The Novell Client Properties Screen will come up.

12. Click on the LDAP Contextless Login Tab
13. Check enable Contextless Login Field, In Trees Field
type DS and click Add, in Servers field type 163.120.7.6 and click Add. Click
OK located at the lower right.

14. Next click on System Login Profiles, and then the Properties tab.

15. Make sure that it is on the eDirectory Tab. In the Tree Field add the letters DS and click OK.

16. Reboot your computer. It will reboot to the Log on to this Computer screen. Please choose Novell Logon the third option and type in your Novell username and password. Another login Screen will appear for your computer account name and password. You can click the option Change your Windows password to match your Novell password if you want to synchronize the two logins.
Attention Tablet Users
Your Tablet
will boot directly into Window. Please right click on the Novell Icon located
on the lower right of your System Tray and select login.
. Type in your Novell username and
password and click OK.
