
All DePauw students and employees are eligible for an AT&T wireless discount. To apply for your discount, you need to register your AT&T account with your depauw.edu address, using the primary phone number of the account under which your phone is covered.* It is not required that the account be in the student's name; a relative or guardian can establish an account for the student's benefit and take advantage of the discount.
For example:
You can apply your discount by following the directions below or you can visit an actual AT&T store, including HOP, Greencastle's local AT&T store. You will need to give them DePauw's FAN #. They will honor all discounts on devices, as advertised on the website, as well as apply the discount to your plan.

* AT&T will charge a one-time fee of $36 to apply the DePauw discount.
It is a very quick and simple process to add the DePauw discount to your current plan.
VERY IMPORTANT!
- You MUST use your depauw.edu email address – the discount is solely dependent on this email address. This is how AT&T confirms you are connected to DePauw University.
- If you are signing up a FamilyTalk plan, be sure to use the primary phone number on the account, not a $9.99 add-on line.
- When entering the last four digits of the SSN, be sure to use the last four digits of the account holder's SSN.
- Once you have completed the process, AT&T will send a confirmation email to your depauw.edu addres

Currently, the discount will apply to the new 3G iPhone and plans, whether it is the primary line or an add-on line, but not the 1st generation iPhone (if the the iPhone is the primary line on the plan.) While first generation (released 6/2007) iPhones will not be eligible for discounts, you should go ahead and sign up for the discount so that if this policy changes your discounts will automatically begin being applied.

If you are not currently an AT&T customer, but would like to transfer to AT&T:
Can I transfer my current wireless phone number from another carrier?
Yes, you should be able to transfer your current wireless phone number from any other carrier. To do so, you will need your cellular phone number, your account number, and your PIN code on the account, if you have one.
However, if your contract is not up with the other carrier, cancellation penalties may apply on the carrier's part. You will have to refer to their customer service department to determine if this may or may not apply.
