Connecting to the Network: Macintosh OS X

To connect to the Internet using your wireless card, go to the Wireless configuration page.
To connect with your internal ethernet port, follow the instructions below:
1. From the Macintosh desktop, click the Apple.

2. Browse to Location and click on Network Preferences.

 

3. Locate the Built-in Ethernet entry and click it once to highlight it.

4. Click Configure.

5. Verify that Using DHCP is selected in the Configure IPv4 drop-down menu.

If it is not selected, click the arrows next to the current entry and select Using DHCP.

6. Click the Proxies tab.

7. Verify Manually is selected for the Configure Proxies drop-down menu.

It it is not, click the arrows next to the current entry and select Manually.

8. Uncheck any checked item under the Select a proxy server to configure field.

9. Click the Ethernet tab.

10. Verify that Automatically is selected for the Configure drop-down menu.

It it is not, click the arrows next to the current entry and select Automatically.

11. The setup is now complete. Click Apply Now and exit all windows until you are back at the Macintosh desktop. You can verify that your wireless card is set up correctly on the Wireless Configuration page.
