Connecting to the Network: Windows XP

1. From the Windows desktop, click the Start button and then Run.

2. Click Run...

 

3. In the Run command line, type Control Panel, then press Enter.

4. In Control Panel, find and double-click Internet Options.

NOTE: If you do not see the specified icon, click the option Classic View to the left in the Control Panel window.

 

5. At the top of the Internet Properties, click the Connections tab.

6. Remove all items from the box labeled Dial-Up and Virtual Private Networks Settings by selecting the item, then clicking the Remove button.

7. At the bottom of the Connections window, click the button LAN Settings. Make sure the option Automatically detect settings is checked.
8. Make sure the option Automatically detect settings is checked.

9. The setup is now complete. Click OK and exit all windows until you are back at the Windows desktop. You can verify that your wireless card is set up correctly on the Wireless configuration page.
