Creating text
Choose the Text tool in the Tools panel.
(Fireworks)
(Photoshop)
- Move the pointer over the document window. The pointer changes to an I-beam. If you are using Fireworks, the Property inspector displays text properties. In Photoshop, the text properties will appear in the Character box as well as below the menu bar.
- With the I-beam pointer, click where you wish to start the text.
- If you are using Fireworks, a text box will appear. You can adjust the size of the text box by dragging the anchor points.
- In Photoshop you can move the text by first choosing the text layer, and then using the Move tool.
- Click outside of the text box to apply your text entry, or choose another tool.
