How to Crop, Resize and Combine an Image in Fireworks 8

CROPPING

1. Select the crop tool from the top of the tools menu at left.





2. Click and drag the crop tool to select the portion of the image you want to keep

3. If the area you wish to crop is correct, double click on the inside of the dotted crop line in order to complete the cropping process.

RESIZING

1. Click Modify >Canvas.  Under Canvas click Image Size.

2. A screen like the one below should appear.

3. Fill in the desired measurements for your image in the pixel dimension box. To avoid distortion, be sure the "Constrain proportions" box is checked.

COMBINING IMAGES

1. Open one of the images you wish to combine.
2. Click on Modify>Canvas.  Under Canvas, select Canvas Size.
3. Adjust the measurements so that your canvas is large enough to fit all of the images you wish to combine.
4. Open the images you wish to combine.
5. Make sure that the images are at the same magnification.

6. Click and drag each image onto the canvas of the first image.  Drag the images around until you reach the desired placement.

7. Adjust the canvas size again if needed.
