Project Title: The DePauw
Student's Position Title: Webmaster
Job Advertisement: We are looking for an ITAP student to serve as Webmaster to The DePauw, the university’s twice-weekly student newspaper. This person would be responsible for maintaining and updating The DePauw’s website (www.thedepauw.com.) The Web Master would be in charge of the website on a daily basis, but also would be a visionary person who could help us imagine news ways to use our site for both editorial content and advertisements.

Project Duration: Full-Year (Fall-Spring)
Intern Qualifications Needed: Any interested ITAP student should have a solid working knowledge of Macs and Quark/Adobe software (Photoshop, etc.). He or she must know web publishing and design. Also, it is important that the student is interested and engaged in the media. If you don’t like newspapers and newsrooms, this job is not for you. Working for The DePauw requires patience and teamwork. The Webmaster/Archivist must work with writers, editors, photographers, salespeople, and designers. Diplomacy is essential. The newsroom is a fun place to work. There is a lot of group spirit and camaraderie.
