Overview
Instructional & Learning Services (I.L.S.) is seeking 10 Associates to work on the Faculty Instructional Technology Consultant specialty team. These consultants will work with full-time Faculty Instructional Technology Support (FITS) staff to support faculty integration of technology into the curriculum. Students in these positions will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects with students from other I.L.S. specialty teams.
Activities and Responsibilities
• Provide consultation and training services for faculty
• Be responsible for production of Web-based and multimedia components of faculty course enhancements
• Staff labs within Instructional & Learning Services
• Support large-scale faculty projects
• Train faculty on a just-in-time basis
• Mentor and provide functional training to ITAP Apprentice rotations and other Associates
• Engage in professional development opportunities
• Research emerging technologies
General Qualifications
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work in a collaborative setting
• Positive work ethic
• Proficiency with Windows and standard productivity software (Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, etc.)
• Experience with multimedia, Web authoring and image editing software
• Experience with or desire to learn about the Macintosh platform
