Project-Related Information:
Project Title: First-Year Seminar Website
Student's Position Title: Web Author
Job Advertisement: This project involves the development of a website for the First-Year Seminar program. The site will contain information for faculty instructors and advisors in the program, and also for first-year students. The goal is a well-designed, user-friendly site, with links to resources in other areas (writing center, honor scholars program, academic policies, advising webpages, institutional research data, program archives, syllabi, course descriptions, and so forth). Much of the material is now on a Blackboard (soon to be Moodle) site, but we need a public website as well. Faculty members could be directed to this site for information they need as they work with new students, and also for FYS proposal forms with online submission. Another goal is to revise the existing FYS administration-only website, which stores proposals and course descriptions.
