DePauw University’s 2008 K-12 Bridge Program is offering some competitive openings for Putnam County K-12 educators to participate in the 2008 FITS Summer Workshop scheduled May 27th through 30th and June 2nd . FITS workshops are project-based programs designed to help teachers’ link methods to course goals through the use of instructional technology. The workshop offers a series of plenary sessions, discussion groups, and mini-courses focused on developing skills you can use to create an engaging and effective learning environment in the classroom. Participants have plenty of time to work on projects and receive one-on-one help from instructional technologists.
Individuals and/or teams of two (e.g. teacher/media specialist, teacher/librarian, etc.) are encouraged to submit an application to be considered for participation in this workshop. Deadline for proposal submission is May 9.
To be eligible for the workshop, one must participate in all five days of the workshop. Upon the completion of the workshop, participants will leave with a plan for implementing their project in their classroom.
Cost
There is no charge to attend the workshop. A light breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided during the week.
Those chosen for participation in the workshop will receive a $200 stipend as compensation.
