While Student Technology Support is primarily a student technology support program, it does offer some vital services to DePauw University's faculty members. Perhaps the most commonly requested service is the development and implementation of customized or course specific training. Often, faculty members will assign a technology assignment or a large scale course project with technology components. Student Technology Support staff members are available to create and implement training for a course, customized around the specific needs a faculty member and the students in his or her class may have.

How do I arrange these services for my students?
The best thing you can do as a faculty member to enable us to support your students is to let us know when an assignment or project involving technology is approaching. This advanced notice will allow Student Technology Support consultants to brush up on their skills in that particular area, as well as ensure that computer resources are on hand to help serve your students.
If you have a large scale technology project, have a specific need for technology skills training, or would like to let us know your students will be coming, please contact Michael Gough (michaelgough@depauw.edu), Coordinator for the program. The more we know about your courses, the better prepared we can be to support your students!
How can I help Student Technology Support serve my students?
While Student Technology Support has been around for a few years, many of the students who have frequently used our services have graduated from the University. Informing your students of our services, pointing them to our website, or distributing Student Technology Support brochures (available upon request) will help spread the word about our program. We see this as being especially vital for first-year students, who will be entering our school not having the experience with tools such as GroupWise, Moodle, or Novell.
